In 1905 he moved the family to Palestine; worked as a seamstress. In 1910 he settled in Paris. He studied at the National school of decorative arts and Russian Academy Maria Vasilyeva (1911-1913). In Paris he met in А. Модильяни, П. Пикассо, Ж. Кокто, Г. Аполлинером, Х. Сутиным, О. Цадкиным and other representatives of the artistic avant-garde. Created cubist sculpture. From 1913 exhibited at the salon d'automne, and salons des Tuileries and the Independent. In 1915 held an exhibition together with А. Матиссом, Ж. Руо, К. Ван Dongen gallery "Bernheim". Was married to the writer by Arias Gastronom (1917-1919).

In 1920-х turned to simple and monumental forms. She performed the figures and heads of marble, bronze, wood and plaster: "Motherhood", "Woman with guitar", "Seated woman", "baby's Head", "Young American", "My son", as well as portraits А. Е. Яковлева, О. Рубина, Д. Видгофа, Ж. Пикара, И. Шагал and others. In 1925 he became a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. In 1930-х participated in the creation of an Art Museum in tel Aviv-Авиве.

during the Second world war he was in Switzerland; Paris workshop Orlova, which was about 100 скульптур, was defeated by the national-социалистами. In the postwar years, fulfilled the figures of birds made of bronze; has created monuments: "Eagles", "Wounded bird" and others.

Often exhibited at various Paris salons; participated in the exhibition of Russian artists in the gallery "Dense" (1921), in the Russian section of the exhibition the modern French art in Moscow (1928). His personal exhibitions were held in Paris galleries "True" (1926), and Zak (1934), "De France" (1946), tel Aviv-Авиве (1935, 1949, 1961), the gallery "Wildenstein" in new-Йорке (1947).

In 1970-1971 memorial retrospective exhibition Orlova was organized at the Rodin Museum in Paris.
