the Son of the painter А. Г. Явленского and Е. Незнакомовой — girls of the family М. В. Веревкиной; the parents were married in 1922; before parting А. Г. Явленского and М. В. Веревкиной (1921) was considered the official nephew А. Г. Явленского.

he spent his Childhood in Vitebsk the estate of his father and Munich. In August 1914 with her parents and М. В. Веревкиной travel to Switzerland. Lived in Santa-Пре (1914-1916), Zurich (1917), Ascona (1922), Wiesbaden (1922) .

he studied Painting from his father. In the early years went through the passion for creativity В. Ван Gogh and the German expressionists. He painted landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes from Russian life, paintings based on Russian fairy tales.
