In 1789, commissioned by G. A Potemkin created a statue of "Catherine II - setter" for the Tauride Palace. In 1780, together with YI Zemelgakom worked on the marble mausoleum P. Golitsyn. In 1781 became a professor at the University Ekaterinoslav with the right to teach students in St. Petersburg. Approved in 1794 with the rank of professor IAH (non-monetary). In 1795 he was appointed a member of the Academy.
