he Studied at the Kharkov art school and the Ukrainian Academy of arts in Kiev. About 1920 he emigrated to Constantinople; in 1921 he settled in Paris. He Attended The Academy "De La Grande Chaumière". I met many expats — Н. Альтманом, В. Найдичем, А. Ланским, П. Кремнем, М. Стерлингом. He was married to Leah Griebenow, daughter of famous book publisher. He painted portraits, Nudes, landscapes, still lifes, scenes of theatrical life.

In the early 1920-х collaborated in the "Via"; designed by her charity puppet performances. In 1923 he participated in the exhibition of the group "Blow" together with Х. Сутиным, В. Бартом, К. Терешковичем, И. Пайлесом in 1928 — in the exhibition "Modern French art" in Moscow. Exhibitor of many art exhibitions in Paris. Had a solo exhibition in new-Йорке (1936).

during the Second world war, remained in Paris. From 1946 работал for the troupe "Russian ballet", created by L. and И. Гржебиными.

Work is represented in several Museum collections, including the Pushkin Museum to them. А. С. Пушкина, the State Russian Museum.
