Biography
BRODSKY Vsevolod Ilyich
Painter, graphic artist
studied at the art studio DI swaying in Pskov (1925-1928), Institute of proletarian art in Leningrad (1928-1932) in Kuzma Petrov -Vodkin, A. Rylova, ML Baychuka.
lived in Moscow. Was engaged in easel and monumental painting, book graphics. After a visit in early 1930 in Karakalpakstan performed (with TA Gippius) a number of paintings, sketches and studies (1934-1935). He painted mostly landscapes and genre scenes.
Since 1935 - participant of exhibitions. In 1930 - the main artist of the room Karakalpakstan Autonomous Republic in VSHV.
worked as art editor at "Young Guard" (1948). As an artist, book illustrator and worked for Detgiz, publishing "Young Guard", "Soviet writer", etc.
In 1950-60's completed a series of watercolors and drawings (ink, pen) on the theme of the East.
Exhibition of works of Brodsky was held in 1935 in Moscow.
