he Studied at the Petrograd art school (1922-1924) В. В. Сукова, А. А. Янова in VHUTEIN in Leningrad (1925-1930) — first at the painting faculty, then at theatre-декорационном at М. П. Бобышова. In 1930 he defended his thesis: sketches of scenery and costumes for the Opera "Carmen" Ж. Бизе.

Lived in Leningrad. 1925 — a member of the Union of art workers (Rabis), 1930 — municipal Committee of fine ARTS, 1940 — of the Union of artists of the USSR. Studied theatre-декорационным art, easel painting and graphics, book illustration. He painted landscapes, still lifes, genre compositions; worked a lot in watercolour and gouache.

Designed the play: "little Red riding hood" at the Leningrad new Theatre (1935), "Wolves and sheep" А. Н. Островского in the Theater of the red Fleet in Tallinn (1946), "Sorochinskaya fair" М. П. Мусоргского in the Leningrad Maly Opera theater (1952). Also collaborated in the Leningrad circus, the State theatre of Opera and ballet. С. М. Кирова and others. He performed sketches of scenery for performances (not implemented): "the Storm" А. Н. Островского (1947), "the Honor in his youth" based on the novel by А. А. Первенцева (1951), "Armored train 14-69" В. В. Иванова, "Prince Igor" А. П. Бородина (1957), "happy street" Ю. Я. Принцева (1960), "Irkutsk story" А. Н. Арбузова (1961) and others.

Since 1937 — participant of exhibitions (exhibition of young artists of theatre in Leningrad). He exposed his works on exhibitions of works by Leningrad artists of the theatre (1941), Spring exhibitions of Leningrad artists (1943, 1944, 1956), sketches by Leningrad artists (1945), "Theatre artists of Leningrad in 1946-1947 годах" (1947), works by Leningrad artists (1947, 1948, 1958, 1960, 1961), works by artists-женщин Leningrad (1960) in Leningrad, "the Exhibition 1-му all-Union Congress of Soviet artists" (1957), the Republican exhibition "Soviet Russia" (1960) in Moscow and other.

Work is represented in many Museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum im. А. С. Пушкина and others.
