Kazakov (Kozak) Ivan Semenovich

Painter, graphic artist

Studied in MUZHVZ (1888-1894) in 1892 and 1893 awarded silver medals for the small sketch and drawing. He continued his education at the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at IAH (1895-1898) in the workshop of Vladimir Makovsky. In 1898, for painting "Reception in a rural hospital", "Unfortunate", a portrait by FI Bulgakov and a number of other works given the title of the artist, as well as the right to a pensioner's trip abroad for two years.

In 1899-1900 pensioner IAH in Italy, France and Germany. On his return he lived in St. Petersburg in 1906 - in Tashkent. He painted genre scenes, landscapes, portraits. Make posters for a charity evening (1900-e).

participated in academic exhibitions (1890 - 1900-e), shows the Moscow Society of Art Lovers, TPHV (1902-1910, with interruptions). After the October Revolution has exhibited his works at the 1-st state of free art exhibitions in Petrograd (1919), 47-second traveling exhibition of paintings in Moscow (1922), 1 st exhibition of paintings of the Tashkent branch of AHRR (1928, one of the organizers of the branch).

taught in real school in Tashkent (1906-1910), Turkestan edge art school (1919), own studio (1921), the Central Asian Building Institute (1930-1935).

Kazakov's works are in several museum and private collections, including the State Russian Museum.
