Studied on urban art courses in Tsaritsyn (1920-1925), at the Leningrad art-промышленном College (1928-1929), the Institute — the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture (1929-1933) on painting faculty at М. П. Бобышова, А. Д. Гончарова, Р. Р. Френца. For the thesis, the scenario of "the Front continues," received the title of artist-постановщика.

Lived in Leningrad. He painted landscapes, portraits, thematic pictures; worked in tempera, was engaged in lithography. Author of painting works: "the Farm “Володарское”. Threshing" (1932), "Harvest" (1937), "Kineshma" (1939), "Portrait of mother" (1939), "Volga" (1941), "Logging" (1943), "Zvenigorod" (1961), "Old Ladoga. Clouds" (1963), "Kozmodemyansk. View from Pugacheva mountains" (1964); cycle of autolithographs "the Construction of the Volgograd hydroelectric power station" (1966) and others.

From 1925 — participant of exhibitions (Tsaritsyn). A member and Exhibitor AHRR — akhr (1925-1929), LOSCH (XLP — the Leningrad Union of artists since 1938). He showed his works at exhibitions: the summer of works by Leningrad artists (1934), works by Leningrad artists (1939, 1954, 1958, 1960, 1961), women-художников of Leningrad (1941, 1960, 1961), a traveling exhibition of the Soviet printmaking (1960), works by Leningrad artists dedicated to the 25th-летию victory on Nazi Germany (1972) and others. His personal exhibitions were held in Leningrad (1963, 1967, 1969).
