Kutateladze Apollo Karamanovich

Painter, graphic artist

studied at the Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts (graduated in 1926) by G. Gabashvili, EE Lanceray. He lived in Tbilisi. He painted pictures on the social and historical subjects, landscapes, portraits.

Since 1922 - participant of exhibitions. Has exhibited his works at the jubilee exhibition of art of the USSR (1927), the exhibition "poster in the service of Five" (1932) in Moscow, the Jubilee Exhibition of Fine Arts of Georgia, marking the 10 anniversary of the October (1927), exhibition of paintings of the Association of Revolutionary Artists of Georgia "Sarma" (1931) in Tbilisi, the second traveling exhibition Narcompros (1930, Nizhny Novgorod - Kazan - Sverdlovsk - Perm - Ufa - Samara - Saratov - Penza) and others.

taught at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts (since 1943), Professor (since 1946), Director (since 1959). Since 1967 - Corresponding Member of USSR Academy of Arts. In 1970 awarded the title People's Artist of the USSR.

works are in several museum collections, including the State Museum of Art of Georgia in Tbilisi.
