studied at the Moscow Art School of memory 1905 (1934-1938) in PD Pokarzhevsky, at the Moscow State Art Institute (1938 - 1948) in I. Chekmazov, MF Shemyakin, VV Favorskogo; during the Great Patriotic War together with the Institute was in Samarkand. In 1948 he defended his diploma painting "Traitor" for which he was awarded the creative assignment on academic giving them. Ilya Repin and adopted by the Union of Artists.

lived in Moscow. He painted pictures on the historical and revolutionary themes, portraits, landscapes, still lifes. In 1987, initiated the creation of the village of Tolstoy in the Lipetsk region art gallery (currently, it was named after the artist). For his efforts he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, People's Artist of Russia.

Since 1949 - permanent member-Union, republican and Moscow art exhibitions. Held solo exhibitions in Moscow (1979, 1980, 1988), Leningrad (1981), Tver (1981), Lipetsk (1990). In 2001 in Lipetsk, and in 2002 took place in Moscow memorial exhibition of the artist.

Works Sysoeva are in many museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Historical Museum and others.
