he Studied at the Odessa art Institute (1929-1935) А. Ф. Гауша, Т. Б. Фраермана, Ю. Р. Бершадского. In 1935 the diploma work — picture "In fishing collective farm".

Lived in Odessa and Moscow. He painted mainly seascapes, still lifes and portraits. Engaged in monotype. Completed painting and graphic cycles: "By Pushkin places" (1937), "Cities-герои" (1957-1958), monotype "Bulgaria" (1963, 1968, 1971). The author works: "the port of Odessa" (1938), "Murmansk" (1951), "morning on the Klyazma water-reservoir" (1952), "the Ship of the revolution "Potemkin"" (1955), "the construction of the new Arbat bridge" (1957), "the construction of the bridge through Moscow-реку" (1959-1960), "the suburbs" (1960), "the Western port" (1964), "Vylkove. Fishing feluccas" (1967), "Sevastopol. Yacht-club" (1968), "yachts on the course" (1970), "Baku" (1973), "labour Moscow" (1974), "Nakhchivan" (1976), "Odessa-порт" (1977-1979), "Crimean-Кавказская line. Loading the ship" (1982) and others.

participated in the design of the pavilions "Turkmen SSR" (1938) and "fisheries of the Volga region" (1953) at the exhibition.

From 1935 — participated in exhibitions. Exhibited: all-Union exhibition of young artists dedicated to the 20-летию the Komsomol (1939), "Young artists of the RSFSR" (1941), painting, graphics, sculpture artists-фронтовиков (1946), painting by Moscow artists (1954), spring exhibition of mossh (1955), all-Union exhibitions of works by artists-маринистов (1955, 1961), "50 лет the first Russian revolution" (1956), "socialist Moscow in works of Moscow artists", Republican exhibition "Soviet Russia" (1960), of Moscow artists (1960, 1964, 1975, 1977, 1980), "Artists of Moscow — 50-летию of October" (1967) in Moscow and others.
