Painter, seascape painter, landscape painter
In 1887–1889 Mikhail Alisov studied at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under the guidance of Y. Y. Klever. Later he moved to the Crimea, where he worked under the direction of I. C. Aivazovsky. Mikhail Alisov painted views of the Crimea and outskirts of Kharkov: Yalta, Feodosia bay, Mist (all — 1889), Uda River near Osnova (1900), Roadway (1902) and others.
In 1900 Alisov exposed his works at the exhibition of the art circle in Astrakhan. In 1910 he participated in the exhibition of the Artistic society in Ekaterinoslav. In 1914 he was a founder member and exponent of the art circle in Yalta. Three personal exhibitions of the artist were held within the Association of Kharkov artists in 1900, 1902 and 1903 in Kharkov.
Works by Mikhail Alisov are in Sevastopol picture gallery, in Kharkov, Tula, Nizhny Novgorod and Dnepropetrovsk Art Museums.
