born in the family of collegiate secretary. From 1875 he studied at the IAH in St. Petersburg in the class of landscape painting. In 1879 was marked by a small silver medal for the sketch "Icebreaker on the river." In 1882 he graduated from the course with the title neklassnogo (free), painter. He worked as a landscape painter. Participated in academic exhibitions.

works are in several museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, the Scientific Research Museum of Russia Academy of Arts.
