Childhood and adolescence spent in Khabarovsk. He studied at Khabarovsk pedagogical College (1921-1923). In 1925 he moved to Moscow. I was in school "Apelles" (1926) М. Е. Харламова in the VKhUTEMAS — Vhuteine (1926-1930) С. В. Герасимова, А. А. Осмеркина, А. В. Шевченко, К. Н. Истомина; in 1930 the diploma painting "Pioneers". Studied at the Institute of advanced studies at the mossh (1938-1939) Б. В. Иогансона.

he Lived in Moscow. Worked in book and magazine graphics; worked in publishing houses "Young guard", "Peasant newspaper." She designed the book: "Party of the taiga" Ф. Г. Финка (1931), "Air well" В. И. Язвицкого (1931).

the Author of landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and thematic paintings. In the late 1930-х was part of the artistic circle "Group of five" (Л. Я. Зевин, М. В. Добросердов, Л. И. Аронов, А. И. Ржезников, А. И. Пейсахович). In 1938 together with С. А. Чуйковым made creative trip to Kyrgyzstan.

In 1941-1945 was in evacuation in Bashkiria.

The son of a miner" (1936), "Portrait of a noble groom Lectura" (1936), "MTS" (1936), "glassware" (1938), "Portrait of the world champion on skates З. Ф. Холощевниковой" (1938), "Basket of vegetables" (1939), "wildflowers" (1941), landscapes of the village of Voskresenskoe in Bashkiria (1941-1943 series), "In the days of testing (On the roads of war)" (1943-1970, series), "Tribulation of the dead" (1947-1948), "Branch in a box" (1958), "Worker-строительница" (1961), "Farewell" (1964), "Fruits" (1969), "wild flowers" (1969, last two — diploma MOHF of the RSFSR 1969), "Komsomol" (1969-1970, series), "On a combat mission" (1969), "Embroidered banner" (1970; for the last two — diploma of the Moscow Union of artists of the RSFSR, 1970), "Lilac" (1970, diploma MOHF of the RSFSR, 1970). The author of the graphic series "Partisans" (1931-1932, watercolor, gouache, ink, brush).

In the late 1940-х was accused of formalism.

From 1931 — participant of exhibitions (exhibition of young artists in Moscow). Member associations OMAHR, akhr (1930-1932), member of the USSR Union of artists (from 1932). Participated in exhibitions: 1-й regional art exhibition in honor of the 15th-летия the October revolution in Khabarovsk (1932); young artists (1934, 1936, 1938, 1939, 1941), Moscow artists (1937, 1940, 1947, 1956), artists of the Union republics, the republics and oblasts of the RSFSR (1944), all-Union art exhibitions (1946, 1957-1958, 1967), "50 лет MOSH" (1982) in Moscow. Participant of several exhibitions of Soviet art abroad: in Zurich, Bern, Geneva, Basel, St.-Галлене, Johannesburg (all — 1931). In the "Group of five" took part in the exhibition halls mosskh in Moscow (1940), had a solo exhibition in Moscow (1969).

he Taught drawing at a secondary school in Khabarovsk (1925), Moscow art school (1939-1948), the Moscow municipal Studio for invalids of the great Patriotic war (1949-1953, Director), the Moscow regional art school memory 1905 года (1953-1983), led the art Studio of Amateur artists at the Agricultural Academy. he was Buried at the Rogozhskoe cemetery in Moscow. A memorial exhibition was held in Moscow (2000).
