In childhood, her family moved to Nizhny Novgorod. Initial art education has received in the circle at the Gorky art Museum (first half of 1930-х). He studied at the Gorky art school (1935-1940) А. В. Самсонова. During the great Patriotic war was the acting Director of the Gorky art Museum; participated in the preservation of Museum collections remaining in the Museum.

After graduating from the VGIK short time he worked at the Studio "Soyuzmultfilm"; participated in the creation of cartoons "Carmike" О. П. Ходатаевой, Е. Н. Райковского (1952, 1-я the Peace award at the film festival in Prague, 1953), "the Brave pack" В. Д. Дягтерева, Е. Н. Райковского (1953).

Executed landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes. Worked in various techniques of painting and drawing (oil, watercolor, oil pastel, pencil), linocut, monotype. Author paintings: "Portrait of mother" (1941), "the Mistress of copper mountain" (1952-1953), "Autumn on the river Kolvica" (1954), "low Tide on the Barents sea" (1955), "Nigm-озеро. Silver day" (1958), "Albania" (1959 series), "Blue day" (1960), "the Port of Marseilles" (1961), "Portrait of Guzel" (1967), "Woman in pink" (1968), "Sum-озеро" (1969), "Stones (poem of the sea)" (1967-1970 series), "Old copper utensils" (1967-1970 series), "memories of Japan" (1973 series), "Still life with a roll" (1978). Created easel graphic series: "Gorodets" (1973-1983), "Baku" (1974-1976), "the suburbs" (1975-1977) "Uglich", "pool", "Kostroma", "Central Asia" (all — 1977), "Yalta" (1978-1979), "Belomorye", "Baltika" (both — 1970-е).

Worked as a theatre designer in the theatres of Moscow and the RSFSR. He designed the performances: "the Makropulos affair" К. Чапека (1957), "the forgotten" Н. Хикмета (1958), "Lyubka-Любовь" З. А. Дановской (1959, all — in conjunction with В. М. Зайцевой), "Anchor square" И. В. Штока (1960), "Raisin in the sun" Л. Хэнсберри" (1961) in the Central theater of the Soviet Army; "For our neighbors" В. В. Лаврентьева (1960) in the Moscow drama theatre. Н. В. Гоголя; "torrents of spring" based on the novel И. С. Тургенева (1968), "the Woman without age" К. Я. Финна (1970), "a love Story" К. М. Симонова (1971) in Dzerzhinsky city drama theatre. 30-летия Lenin Komsomol. Also collaborated in the Amur regional drama theatre in Blagoveshchensk, Noginsk drama theater, Educational theater at the State Institute of theatrical arts. А. В. Луначарского.

From 1958 активно worked as a ceramist. Created bowls, decorative dishes, jugs, vases ("Toy", 1960; "Black jug", 1962;, the Cat, 1962; "Bird", 1967; "Matryoshka doll", 1968).

From 1941 — participant of exhibitions (Exhibition of landscapes, Bitter). Member MSCH — MOSH (1952). Participated in exhibitions: works of artists of Gorky in Gorky (1944); Moscow artists (1954, 1955, 1960, 1961, 1964 — "Moscow — the capital of our country"), young artists of Moscow and Moscow region (1956), "socialist Moscow in works of Moscow artists" (1957), painting, drawing, ceramics artists of theater and cinema (1959), the Republican art exhibition "Soviet Russia" (1960, 1965, 1967, 1970), works by women-художников (1960), all-Union art exhibition (1961), 3-й the all-Union exhibition of artists-маринистов (1961), works of artists of theater and cinema (1965), "Artists of Moscow — 50-летию of October" (1967), the all-Union exhibition of artists of theatre, film and television (1967), the all-Union exhibition "50 лет Soviet art ceramics and glass" (1970) in Moscow; "5 русских artists (А. Е. Расторгуев, Т. П. Гусева, Л. В. Варламова, В. А. Хапугин, Е. Милюкова)" in Rome (1993) and others. His personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (1960, 1962, 1969, 1972, 1981). Honored artist of the RSFSR (1983).

died Tragically in a fire at his home in Gorodec.
