Engraver, draftsman

the Son of a soldier of the Butyrsky regiment. He studied at St-Петербургской garrison school. In December 1748 he was transferred to the Academy of Sciences. From February 1749 he studied at the Drawing chamber, since July 1753 — pupil of the Engraving chamber of the Academy. From 1762 he worked under the guidance А. А. Грекова.

Lived in St.-Петербурге. Was in the service in the Engraving chamber Academy of Sciences. In 1767 he obtained the title of journeyman. In 1760-80-е participated in all collective works of the Chamber. Completed engraving: "View of the Palace at Peterhof" (with П. А. Артемьевым), "Prospect of Oranienbaum" (with Ф. Т. Внуковым) according to the drawings М. И. Махаева for the album "Views of the environs of St-Петербурга" (St. Petersburg, 1761); "Peter and Paul fortress (Saint-Петербургская on the Neva-реке fortress), Grotto in the Summer garden", "View of Strelna on the Gulf of Finland (Strelina manor on the Gulf of Finland)", "View of Oranienbaum" and "view of the Kremlin of the old Palace, new Palace in the Kremlin on the South side" according to the drawings М. И. Махаева for the album of the so-called "small" species of St. Petersburg and Moscow (brief of the Russian Empire geography, serviceability second edition of pocket Atlas. St. Petersburg, 1773).

Created a portrait of Peter I, as well as the table for publication А. И. Богданова "Historical, geographical and topographical description of St.-Петербурга from its origin, from 1703 по 1751 год" (St. Petersburg, 1779).

his Works are in many Museum collections, among them — of the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum im. А. С. Пушкина.
