From a noble family; was in relationship with the poetess З. Н. Гиппиус sister of the artist Т. А. Гиппиус (1907-1997).

the Initial art education has received in the gymnasium at Н. Ф. Витберг. The first mentor was К. М. Лекомцев in the future, the husband of the artist. He studied at Perm art-педагогическом College (1924-1927) at the graphics Department at И. Н. Вроченского and А. С. Шестакова; in Vhuteine — Moscow Institute of fine arts (period between 1928 and 1936) Д. С. Моора, М. С. Родионова, Н. А. Удальцовой, Л. А. Бруни, К. Н. Истомина, В. А. Фаворского.

she Lived in Moscow, 1941-1943 — Saransk. Worked in Yasnaya Polyana (1938), in the house of creativity "Academic dacha" of the Tver oblast (1940-е); made creative trip to Kuban (1939), Altai (1940).

Created portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre compositions. The author of series of paintings: "On Kuban" (1939), "In Saransk military hospital" (1942), "Moscow" (1958); easel paintings, "Gathering apples" (1938), "Before exams" (1953), "Spring" (1961) portraits of artists О. И. Петровой, М. В. Скворцовой (both — 1960), И. И. Ром-Лебедева (1961). He was engaged in lithography ("Pond", 1955; "Red square" (1961), "Guitarist Н. А. Иванова-Крымская", 1962), linocut. He worked a lot in watercolour and tempera (series "Moscow", 1962-1964).

Worked on the design of pavilions VSHV (together with К. М. Лекомцевым).

From 1931 — participant of exhibitions (young artists in Moscow). A member and Exhibitor of the society "October" (1931). Exhibited at the exhibitions in Moscow: women-художниц (1938, 1939, 1941, 1953, 1960, 1970, 1987), youth-комсомольской exhibition (1940), Moscow artists (1940, 1955, 1957, 1960, 1961, 1966, 1981, 1982 — "50 лет MOSH", 1985), works of artists of the Autonomous republics and oblasts of the RSFSR (1945), 5-й exhibition of autolithographs (1955), "Moscow — the capital of our country" (1964), "home country" (1965), a "40 лет of the victory over fascism" (1985); foreign exhibitions in Berlin (1967), Warsaw (1967) and others. His personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (1972, 1990).

a member of the Union of artists of the USSR (from 1937). Bureau member of the municipal Committee of painters and sculptors (1937-1938), Secretary of the auditing Commission at the Plant of Moscow Association of artists (1941), member of the Board of the Union of artists of the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet socialist Republic (1941-1943).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, among them — of the State Tretyakov gallery, the Museum of city history of Moscow.
