Since the early 1930-х performed genre, portrait, landscape sketches and etudes — of Moscow and Moscow region, during the numerous creative trips across the USSR (the Urals, Siberia, North, far East, Ukraine) and abroad (Italy, Poland, Hungary, Sweden, France, Denmark, Finland). Created a series of drawings "Arctic", "Turkmenistan", "Moscow today", "Contrasts of Italy".

For his activities he was awarded the title of honored artist of the RSFSR (1962), awarded the order "Badge of honor".
