Biographical details are scarce. Youth held in Kherson and Kharkiv. After the revolution he emigrated to Germany, where he received his artistic education. In 1924 he settled in Paris. He painted landscapes, portraits, still lifes, genre scenes. In 1930-е worked for several years in Africa, has created a series of ethnographic sketches.

Exhibited in the salon of the National society of fine arts (1925), the salon d'automne (1925-1935, 1942;, a member of the salon), the salon of Independent (1926-1935, with breaks; 1941-1945, 1947), the exhibition "Modern portrait" (1935), the National salon (1954). In 1928 he participated in the Russian section of the exhibition "Contemporary French art" in Moscow and the exhibition of Russian art in Brussels. Apparently, he sent works at the Jubilee exhibition of art of the peoples of the USSR (1927) in Moscow; 1-ю all-Ukrainian exhibition of the Association of revolutionary art of Ukraine in Kharkov (1927) and all-Ukrainian jubilee exhibition, dedicated to the 10-летию October (1927, traveling around the cities of Ukraine). His personal exhibitions were held in Berlin (1924) and Paris (1929).
