he Lived in Moscow (from 1920-х). Worked as a landscape painter, portraitist, created a genre and thematic compositions. The author of paintings and graphic works: "Summer" (1906), "Late water" (pastel, 1910-е), "dye-works" (1922), "the Artist В. В. Лужский" (1923), "Komsomolets in the hat" (pastel, 1923), "Portrait А. В. Луначарского" (pencil, 1925), "Pioneer" (1926), "Clandestine printing" (1926), "И. С. Остроухов reading about В. А. Серове" (pencil, 1929), "Pioneers at work" (1939).

From 1906 — participant of exhibitions (student's, MUZHVZ). Exhibited: Moscow society of art lovers (1906), Moscow fellowship of artists (1916), society of artists of the Moscow school (1917, 1923, 1924-1925), the professional Union of artists-живописцев (1918), AHRR (1922, 1927-1929), TPHV (1923), "Socialist construction in the visual arts" (1931), "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years" (1933-1934), "XV years of the red army" (1933) in Moscow and others.

In 1911-1917 he taught in schools in Beleve, Chelyabinsk, courses for preschool education at the University А. Л. Шанявского in 1920-е — in VKhUTEMAS — Vhuteine in Moscow. Worked in Experienced-показательной school-коммуне them. П. Н. Лепешинского (1920), he headed the study of fine ARTS at the Institute of methods of school work (1922-1926). Was engaged in theoretical work in the field of art education for children; the author of the books: "Graphic literacy" (М.-Л., 1926, together with О. Волковым), "Child-художник" (Moscow, 1930), "How to draw" (М.-Л., 1938), "Child's drawing" (M., 1940, together with Е. Кандахчан).

Works are in several Museum collections, among them — of the State Tretyakov gallery and others.
