Biographical information about the artist is extremely rare. He was educated in Moscow. In 1918-1919, under the name Schlesinger participated in the 24-th exhibition of the Moscow Association of Artists, in the 2 nd exhibition of paintings of the trade union painters in Moscow and 5-th National exhibition of paintings "From Impressionism to irrelevance." In 1919-1920 she lived in Tiflis, in the early 1920's emigrated to France, settled in Paris. Since 1922 he exhibited his works at the Salon d'Automne (from 1924 - in the Russian part), the cabin Independent and the Tuileries. Personal exhibition of the artist passed in 1925 in the gallery "Vildrak" and in 1934 in the gallery "Barreiro". Since 1933 was a member of the art section at the Union leaders of Russian art in France.

In 1975 the gallery Bata took a retrospective exhibition of Rocklin.

Many wrote nudity, landscapes, portraits, floral still lifes. In his works went through a fascination with Impressionism and Cubism, developed in the 1930's own manner, which, according to an authoritative art magazine L `Art et les Artistes,« there was an artistic balance between Courbet and Renoir.
