he Studied at the VKhUTEMAS in Moscow (1921), the VKhUTEMAS — VHUTEIN in Leningrad (1921-1925); completed thesis — painting "Laundresses" and drawing in lead pencil "Roofer".

he Lived in Leningrad. Author thematic paintings, portraits, landscapes: "Accordion" (1928), "Negro" (1934), "Vova Matusow" (1935), "Lake Seliger" (1939), "Urban landscape" (1930-е), "Gunner-казах" (1943), "Military-санитарная the evacuation of the wounded on the Leningrad front", "the meeting of the Pirogov with Nakhimov in Sevastopol Bastion" (both — 1943-1945), "Harvesting" (1948), "Portrait of a nurse М. В. Романовой" (1952), "Country landscape", "still life with flowers", "portrait of a girl in a black hat" (all — 1950-е); series of landscapes of the environs of Leningrad (1930-е) and the Caucasus (1960-е); drawings — "Street vendor" (1924), "the Laundress" (1925).

From 1924 — participated in exhibitions. A member and Exhibitor of the society "Circle of artists" (1927, 1928, 1929, 1930; Secretary; member — to 1929), OMAHR (1930-1931), LOSCH (XLP, the Leningrad Union of artists; 1932); RABIS member (from 1929). Exhibited: the final works of students of the Leningrad Academy of arts (1925), 1-й citywide exhibition of fine arts (1930), "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years" (1932), Leningrad artists (1935, 1936, 1939, 1947, 1952, 1954, 1957, 1958) in Leningrad, Leningrad artists in Moscow and Kislovodsk (both — 1935). Participant of several international exhibitions: XIV International art exhibition in Venice (1924), "circle of artists" in London (1929). Held a joint exhibition with Н. Н. Володимировым, В. А. Масловым, Н. Н. Рябининым in the halls LOSSH in Leningrad (exhibition-отчет about creative mission).

he Taught drawing at the Leningrad technical school of Amateur art, the children's colony.

Work is represented in several Museum collections, among them — State Museum of history St.-Петербурга, the Pushkin Museum im. А. С. Пушкина.
