From the priest's family.He studied at the Moscow school of painting (second half of 1900-х), workshop А. М. Васнецова. Worked primarily as a landscape painter; the author of painting works: "Blue Dali", "Over the river", "Fields, hills native..." and others.

member of the Vyatka art circle (1909), a group of artists, "Independent", the Association "Free art". In the late 1900-х was engaged in organization of exhibitions of Moscow artists in Vyatka. He also published articles about art in the newspaper "Vyatka speech" (1908-1909).

In 1910-х took Holy orders and settled in Gzhatsk, Smolensk province. Participated in the exhibition of paintings gatski artists (1928).
