Since the childhood was engaged in drawing. In his youth he worked as an assistant in a printing house. Simultaneously he attended evening art school. He studied at Warsaw art Institute (1901-1906) first on scenic, then — on the Department of sculpture. Upon graduation, awarded foreign trip; visited Germany, Italy, Egypt.

he Lived in Warsaw, in 1916-1918 — in Petrograd in 1918-1920 and 1925 — in Kiev, 1920-1925 — Kharkov. Was married to the painter, the sculptor Ж. К. Динде. Worked in the field of easel, monumental and monumental-декоративной sculpture. In 1913 he performed for Warsaw fountain "Four seasons". A member and Exhibitor of the Association of revolutionary art of Ukraine (1927).

In 1937 he was arrested by the NKVD on charges in connection with the "enemy of the people" artist М. Л. Бойчуком and was sentenced to exile for an indefinite period in Central Asia. Liberated in 1945, returned to Kiev; in 1948, moved to Donbass, from 1953 снова lived in Kiev.
