he Studied at the State free art studios in Nizhny Novgorod (1921-1923) А. В. Куприна in the Leningrad artistic-промышленном College (1924-1927) М. И. Авилова, М. П. Бобышева in the Institute of proletarian fine art — the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture (late 1920 — early 1930-х). In 1924 работал the Intern formally-теоретического Department Ginhuk under the leadership К. С. Малевича.

he Lived in Leningrad. Wrote thematic compositions, portraits, landscapes: "a New life" (1929-1930), "Composition" (early 1930-х), "self-Portrait", "Landscape with children", "Near school" (mid 1930-х), "culture Park" (1938-1940), "Love in the city", "After the show", "Quiet evening" (the second half of 1930-х). In the late 1930-х worked on the series of semi-abstract works "Carnival".

In 1925-1932 — member of the group "masters of analytical art" П. Н. Филонова. In 1927 he participated in the design team MAI the production of the play "the government Inspector" Н. В. Гоголя in the printing-House. In 1930 he moved away from П. Н. Филонова but before 1932 оставался a member of MAI. Worked in club theatres.

From 1927 — participant of exhibitions (exhibition of masters of analytical art in Leningrad). Member LASH (1934; in 1937 or 1938 — excluded). He exposed his works at exhibitions: "Modern Leningrad artistic groups" (1928-1929), 1-й citywide exhibition of fine arts (1930), Autumn exhibition of Leningrad artists (1936); painting, drawing and sculpture (1937), painting and sculpture (1941) Leningrad city Committee of artists.

a member of the Soviet-финской war (1939-1940), the great Patriotic war (1941). Died at the front near Leningrad.
