he Studied at the Academy of fine arts in Bucharest (1917-1924) Г. Пирея, Е. Петреску.

Until 1946 жил in the USA, France, Romania, 1946 — in Yerevan. He painted landscapes, portraits, thematic pictures; worked with this technique. Author of painting works: "Street Oriental" (1926), "working-class district in Bucharest" (1940), "the Church in Bucharest" (1942), "the Bridge of Victory" (1947), "Alaverdi. Copper smelter" (1949), "the cotton harvest" (1953), "Komsomol Park" (1956), "Winter landscape" (1957), "Autumn motif. Forest" (1959), "Sunset on the lake" (1960), "Spring in Carbage" (1962), "On the lake" (1964).

Since 1923 — participated in exhibitions. A member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Exhibited: works arrived from-за the turn of the Armenians-художников (1947), the jubilee exhibition artists of the Soviet Armenia, dedicated to the 30th-летию the great October socialist revolution (1947), Republican art exhibitions of the Armenian SSR (1949 — on the 70-летию birthday И. В. Сталина, 1953, 1954, 1956, 1957 — 40-летию the great October socialist revolution, 1960 — 40-летию the establishment of Soviet power in Armenia, 1963, 1965) in Yerevan; all-Union art exhibitions (1947, 1949, 1950), art of the Armenian SSR, on the 40-летию the great October socialist revolution (1956) in Moscow. His personal exhibitions were held abroad (1930, 1935, 1941), Yerevan (1956, 1962, 1965). Honored artist of Armenian SSR (1965).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, among them — national gallery of Armenia in Yerevan.
