Today, May 28, the center of the photo name Lumière (Marsh nab., 3, p. 1) opens the exhibition "Soviet photography 60-70-x».
Project Photos 60-70 "Anthology of Russian photos of the twentieth century, presented photo gallery named after the Lumiere brothers in April - May 2008, CHA and caused considerable stir among professionals and amateurs of Soviet photography, showed how high interest in today fotonaslediyu those two decades - a time when reportage and photography club experienced unprecedented prosperity. For four years has done much research work, which resulted in the exhibition "Soviet photography 60-70-x" in the center of the photo named Lumiere brothers, attended by the best photo artists of those years.
preparing this project, the exhibition organizers chose the emblematic images, determining the author's style, artistic handwriting of each photographer, original logos of their time. This makes it possible to say with confidence that this meeting will dictate the style of photographic collections - the museum or private, focused on this period of photography.
The exhibition features more than 350 photos of 70 authors - mostly photographers, Moscow who worked for leading information services: TASS, APN. In selecting the authors were guided by the organizers not geographically, as it might seem a high degree of professionalism, quality of work. High bar, given by leaders in the field of information, a lot of practice, as well as prestigious exhibitions, including international, in which they participated, encouraged to photograph not just good, but best of all.
sixties - a time of hope and universal sense of freedom when slipknot ideology was slightly weakened - created a new formal language, new genres and themes in photography. This time, experimentation and innovation. For the first time in the Soviet pictures appear interested in a man with his private feelings, emotions. Photographers tried to pure reportage, refusing productions, pathos, declarative, false optimism characteristic of pictures of previous years. These works have more sincerity, humor, romance.
These new trends are particularly evident in the portrait genre. The portrait of a girl wrapped up against the cold Ivan Lunkova ("Winter", 1965) can only see his eyes. The piercing gaze and the lack of distracting details, restraint, lyricism and psychology make this picture perfect shestidesyatnicheskoy photography.
Instead of parades reporters are increasingly removed everyday life, and scenes of work are becoming more commonplace and even and fanned romance. (Yu Krivonosov "In the North Sea." 1964). For photographers, each is valuable, even the most trivial point. Stopping an instant touch of a button, they transform it into a work of photographic art. In the exhibition genre scenes, Vladimir Bogdanov, "not my dog's case" (1960), Igor Gnevasheva "Sunday" (1965), Dmitry Vozdvizhensky "We automaton. Moscow (1969) - Gogol's irony and attention to detail.
Actual direction of that period is photographica. Visitors can see the famous work of Alexander Abaza "Rails Azovstal (1972) and" Brigade. On the construction of the oxygen-converter shop Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant "(1973) - these Hommage constructivism, with its rodchenkovskimi diagonals and angles, in which people turn to the contours of the geometric designs.
Very often photo-reporters 60-70 addressed the topic of childhood. Engaging immediacy minor represents a welcome freedom. In the sixties, the children finally become the children: they laugh, quite aimlessly picking snow shovel (V. LAGRANGE "Granny." 1961), allowed boats after school (V. Opalene "Rural School." 1970) or play hockey (in . LAGRANGE "goalkeeper". 1961).
Innovation affected the technical side of photography. Color experiments Nicholas Drachinskii with multikonturom 1976 ("Evening Arbat", "Dream") manually create a Photoshop effect, which the author believes, was to allow each to realize his dream in an era of universal computerization look a little naive, but not least, , and possibly even more valuable.
curator of the exhibition "Soviet photography 60-70", managed to collect the best examples of Soviet Photos 1960-70-ies, the documentary evidence of the time period that the explosion of free art made so different from those that were before him and will be after.
exhibition will run until 1 August 2010.
