In the year of the anniversary of the outstanding artist of the XX century by Vasily Kandinsky (1866-1944) Pushkin Museum. Pushkin shows his work, executed in a unique technique of painting on glass, as well as graphic works of 1915-1920. It was during these years when Kandinsky lives and works in Moscow, he returns once more from abstract works to substantive topics.

Kandinsky art was formed on the basis of national traditions of the two cultures — Russian and German. Two cities — Moscow and Munich — were equally meaningful to him. The exhibition presents works of the Moscow period, stored in various museums and private collections. Among the participants of the project — of the State Russian Museum (provided by V. Kandinsky "Amazon with blue lions" (1918), "the Amazon in the mountains" (1918), etc.), Vyatka art Museum. V. M. and A. M.
