Auction House "Sovcom" and the Institute of Russian realist art (IRRI) in the Russian Antique Salon XXHIII represent a special project dedicated to the works of the outstanding Russian painter Georgy Savitsky . This exhibition will be a retrospective of the artist. It will include still life, portraits, battle scenes and watercolor sketches of George Savitsky.

Total in project involved more than 30 paintings and graphic works by the artist from the Institute of Russian realist art gallery" Sovcom "and private collections.

Many of these works at the time were reproduced on Soviet posters. Most of the items previously exhibited in numerous exhibitions of the artist and has been published in catalogs.

Georgy Savitsky - Russian painter, academician, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, winner of the Stalin Prize and the State. One of the organizers AHRR, member of the editorial "TASS Windows" and member of the Company of realist artists.

Author battle, historical, revolutionary and animalistic paintings, illustrations for the works of Russian and Soviet literature. Member of numerous All-Union, All-Russian exhibitions, exhibitions of Soviet art abroad. Solo exhibitions were held in George Savitsky USSR Academy of Arts (Moscow, 1954), the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow, 1948), the Russian Museum (Leningrad, 1939) and the Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts (Leningrad, 1954).

Savitsky works are in many museum collections, among them - the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the Institute of Russian realist art, Penza Picture Gallery. Konstantin Apollonovich Savitsky State Literary Museum and others.
