«Black box» Malevitch relevant today
In Moscow, the gallery pop /off /art 28 July an exhibition «100% blacksquare», the main theme of which was the «black box» Kazimir Malevich . Since its inception, it has not ceased to agitate the minds of artists and encourages them to engage in dialogue. Most of the artists collaborating with the gallery pop /off /art, showing their devotion «Black Square» at «The Adventures of the black box» a year ago in the Russian Museum. Today's exhibition is in no way an attempt to repeat it, «light» version of Moscow. This independent project, which faces the challenge to show the reaction - from the ironic to the research - on the «black box» in all types of modern art: painting, drawing, collage, object (in materials such as rubber and ceramics), installation, video, print . Authors of works - known in Moscow and St. Petersburg artists, has long been collaborating with the gallery of pop /off /art, especially one «fathers» social art Vagrich Bahchanyan .
Job Bahchanyana called «Malevich. Mal-little-less »and represents 10« the black squares », compositionally built in order of decreasing size. This work, despite the fact that the idea of such a project, the author came in 1979, exhibited for the first time.
Among the other works submitted for exhibition should emphasize the draft Oleg Tatarintseva «field». This black square 3 x 3 meters, made of ceramic circles.
As the gallery director Sergei Popov, a recent study conducted by museum staff, showed that the most unpopular image of the Russians - that is the famous «black box» Malevitch. Popov added that undervalued Russian avant-garde - a characteristic phenomenon for Russia in general. However, one should not forget that the Russian avant-garde - the foundation of all modern art, and if it does not recognize, then soon we will lag in the architecture, design and all aspects of visual culture.
