Twenty years ago died one of the greatest poets of the 20th century — Joseph Brodsky. To commemorate this date, "Empire" is a collection of "Joseph and his environment" as a separate section of the auction catalog. More than 60 artifacts from the collections of friends and colleagues span the thirty-year period of life in the homeland and in exile — from the first printed collections that were distributed in samizdat, to pictures taken during the farewell with the Nobel laureate in new-Йорке.

Specially assembled for the auction, the collection allows to trace the formation of the starter and immediately became the disgraced poet in the classic of Russian and world literature: from photos 1964, taken during his exile in the Norinskaya village, to stamp with his portrait issued by the U.S. post office in 2012. Inscriptions of Brodsky and book signing of his closest friends Eugene Reyna, Alexander Kushner, Sergei Dovlatov, Vladimir Ufliand, portraits of famous photographers and shots private shots recreate the environment that nurtured the creativity of the poet at home and later in exile.

particularly noteworthy are the collections "Urania" and "the End of a great era", given by the author to the family Belomlinsky and image of Brodsky in the author's prints, N. Albert, L. Kopelev, M. The first session of the auction "Rare books" devoted bibliophile classics.
