Russia: open tickets and the reimbursement of financial losses
Despite the fact that the date of lifting the restrictive measures imposed in connection with the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 on the whole territory of Russia, is not yet known, the domestic museums actively preparing for the return of visitors to their walls. Recently it became known that the State historical Museum and Russian Museum of Ethnography opened a ticket with open date of a visit. This action, called "Ticket to the future", provides the opportunity to visit the Museum any day until December 30, 2021.

We decided to give everyone a chance to plan your visit to the Museum by purchasing a ticket at a special price", — results the words of the Director of the Historical Museum Alexey Levykin the portal Culture.of the Russian Federation.
Almost a month ago a similar ticket with an open date, but before the end of 2020-го, not 2021 was launched on its the website the Museum of Russian impressionism.
the Surge in public museums probably caused by the recent interview of the Minister of culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, in which she stated that the Ministry of culture hopes to offset the losses incurred by the major theaters and museums from-за regime of self-isolation, for three months.
Losses, by the way, quite significant. In opinion Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, the only one the Museum has already lost in the universal isolation of about half of the annual budget. According to cited RBC, in 2018 the annual budget of the Hermitage amounted to 5,225 billion rubles, of which 2.68 billion — subsidies from the budget, and 2,545 billion — income from own activities of the Museum (the sale of tickets and souvenir production, organizing events, payment for granting the right to reproduce images from the collections). Thus, losses which, according to Piotrovsky, shall reimburse the state account for about 2.5 billion rubles.
