Catalog of watercolors "albert Benois. Miracles" was published first the eponymous exhibition, was held successfully at the CHA this summer. This is the first and only publication devoted to the work of the founder of the Society of Russian watercolors, academician of the Imperial Academy of arts albert Nikolayevich Benois (1852-1936). In the catalog for the first time presented a full retrospective of the artist's work. Among the 87 projects — watercolors from private collections of Moscow, created before emigration, and works from the family collection of great-grandchildren watercolorist living in Europe and the USA, written after his departure from Russia. Watercolors of the late period do not exist in Russian museums and private collections. Therefore, the published directory — the only opportunity for our audience to get acquainted with the late albert Benoit. The publication also includes works by known in vivo printed sources: exhibition catalogues, journal publications, open letters to the Society of St. Eugenia. All the compilers collected more than 300 illustrations.

Joyful workers" includes about 100 watercolor paintings presented at the exhibition: landscapes, book illustrations, sketches of scenery and theatrical costumes, including sketches for productions of "Russian seasons" Diaghilev. 200 illustrations taken from the books designed by the artist, exhibition catalogues; magazines and anthologies; art postcards of the early twentieth century. The composition of the reference edition includes the full list of drama and theatre, in which Alexander Benois participated as an artist and Director.

Tool for art historians and collectors will be included in both publications detailed the signs of works of artists drawn from in vivo and memorial exhibitions, auctions, charity lotteries, the annual reports of the Academy of arts, and other archival sources. Among the materials used — catalogs of European and American exhibitions that are missing in the collections held by the Russian public, academic and Museum libraries. The lists drawn up by the authors of the publication, contain more than 1,500 works of albert Benois and more than 2 000 — Alexander Benois.
