Christie's will corporate collections
A British auction house Christie's office has engaged in the sale of corporate collections. The decision to create such a department was very timely - in the context of the global financial crisis, many companies put on the auction works of art from their collections.
In the United States, a new division headed by Kathy Elkis (Cathy Elkies), while in Europe - Ben Clark (Ben Clark). Christie's is negotiating with companies on both sides of the Atlantic, but the auction house so far refrained from commenting about what a particular organization wants to sell his collection. According to Kathy Elkis, works from the collections of affected companies may appear on the auction during the year.
