«Gazprom» supports German museum
According to the newspaper SüddeutscheZeitung, company «Gazprom» will stretch a helping hand museum «Gallery Willy Zitte» (Willi-Sitte-Galerie), located in the German city Merzeburg. Russian gas giant has sponsored this museum in 2006, soon after its opening. This year, «Gazprom» has promised to allocate a further 35 thousand euro. According to Hans-Werner Hubert (Hans-Hubert Werner), director of fund Zitte Willy, a Russian company intends to enter into long-term contract with the museum.
artist Willy Zitte last year turned 87 years old. During the Cold War, he was one of the most famous painters in the GDR.
