From a family of teachers. Attended art school at the section FROM Subarubrat in Gomel (1918-1920), where he studied under the guidance А. Я. Быховского and Ф. Валеро. In 1921 командирован in revenues in VHUTEMAS. He studied at the sculpture Department VKhUTEMAS — Vhuteina (1921-1927) И. М. Чайкова and И. С. Ефимова. For graduate work — song "Armed rebellion" got the right to go abroad (not held). As a graduate student, worked in the sculpture Studio. Н. А. Андреева when mosskh (1933-1935) А. Т. Матвеева.

he Lived in Moscow. In 1927-1928 as a sculptor-бутафора worked at the Moscow art theatre; complied with the emblem of the theatre (has not survived). Was engaged in easel and monumental-декоративной sculpture. A portraitist. Created a frieze for the building of the city hospital in Tula (1931), the figure of the boy to the fountain on one of the squares of Prokopyevsk (1936), the statue of "Welder", "Soldier", "Kolkhoz-льноводка", bas "Papanin" for VSHV in Moscow (1938).

In 1939 MSH mission visited several collective farms of the Ukrainian SSR, on the trip completed a series of drawings in pastel, sanguine, ink, pencil.

Member of group "13" (1930); participant of exhibition of young artists (1930), aspiring young artists in Moscow (1934).

he Taught at the Yaroslavl art-промышленном College (1928-1930).

Posthumous exhibition of the artist held in Moscow (1941).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, including the State Tretyakov gallery, Karakalpak state Museum of art. И. В. Савицкого in Nukus.
