From a theatrical family. Father — Н. Ф. Гильдебрандт-Арбенин — artist of the Maly theatre in Moscow, then St. Petersburg Alexandrinsky theatre, mother — Г. В. Панова — actress of the Maly theatre.

she Graduated from a private school М. А. Лохвицкой-Скалон then — drama courses (former Imperial drama courses; 1919) in Petrograd. Until 1923 performed at the Alexandrinsky theatre.

Lived in Petrograd (Leningrad). As the artist began working with mid 1920-х. Professional art education is not received. The advice В. В. Лебедева and В. А. Милашевского. He painted landscapes. In 1925 совершила a trip to the North.

was married to the writer and artist Ю. И. Юркуном (1920/1921); after his arrest in 1938 was engaged in the preservation of its artistic heritage. Was friendship and correspondence with many figures of culture of the first third of the twentieth century — О. Э. Мандельштамом, Н. С. Гумилевым, М. А. Кузьминым, Д. И. Митрохиным and others.

In 1941 was evacuated to the Urals; in 1949 he returned to Leningrad. In 1950-е worked in the library of the Hermitage.

From 1929 — participant of exhibitions. A member of the group "13" (1929-1932). Participant of several exhibitions of Soviet art abroad, in particular in Johannesburg (1931), Konigsberg (1932), Philadelphia (1934).

a Memorial exhibition was held at the Leningrad House of writers (1983). Author of memoirs (published: "the Girl rolling SERCO...". M., 2007).

Work is represented in many Museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov gallery, the Pushkin Museum im. А. С. Пушкина and others.
