Today, December 13, the Hall of Korf Main Building of the National Library (St. Petersburg, Sadovaya, 18) offers a unique exhibition of "Hourglass": Pictures of Joseph Brodsky (the 70-th birthday of the poet).

The exhibition in the Year of Joseph Brodsky in Russia "will be presented unpublished drawings Brodsky from his archive that is stored in the Department of Manuscripts NLR, from the Museum of Anna Akhmatova, from private archives and collections. Copies of drawings of the "American" part of an archive of Joseph Brodsky transferred to the Library exhibition of rare books and manuscripts at Yale University (USA).

figures reflect another facet of the talent of Joseph Brodsky, and are an important source for studying its life and work. In addition to paintings, the exhibition will be on display autographs poetry and prose, Brodsky pages of diary entries, fragments of letters, photographs of the poet and printed editions of his works in Russian, English and other languages.
