Auction of works of Impressionist and Modern Christie's was a great success

Some of the top auction lots yielded unexpectedly high amount. The most expensive work was the painting «Torso» Alexander Arkhipenko . A picture of the French painter Yvonne Kanyu (Yvonne Canu) «Saint-Tropez» has 76.9 thousand dollars, although it estimeyt was also quite modest - 18-25 thousand dollars. Figure «Female portrait» of the famous Gustav Klimt (Gustav Klimt) exceeded estimeyt (20 thousand U.S. dollars) more than three times and left for 68,5 thousand. In «top ten» of the three lots owned by the French painter Jean-Pierre Kassinelyu (Jean-Pierre Cassigneul), two - his compatriot Robert Pinshonu (Robert Pinchon). The most expensive painting Kassinelya, «The woman in white peignoir», was sold for 158.5 thousand dollars (estimeyt 60-80 thousand). A «top fathomable» Pinshona became paintings «Gardens with toffee», spent 68.5 per thousand, with thousands of estimeyte 30-40.
Christie's auction specialist Stephanie Sekara (Stefany Sekara) makes no secret of joy from the successful bidding. After all, the auction results show that the words «the boom in the art market» can now be used not only in relation to the high price segment. Despite the gloomy forecasts of analysts, buyers who do not have 70-80 million dollars for the painting by Claude Monet (Claude Monet) and Mark Rothko (Mark Rothko) do not lose heart and continued to bargain for a reasonable price.
