From the family of the architect. Initial education under the direction Х. Станычева in Sofia. A member of the underground Komsomol organization in Plovdiv (1923), by the decision of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist youth Union in 1926 transferred to the USSR. Studied at the VKhUTEMAS in Moscow (1926-1927) П. П. Кончаловского, П. А. Радимова, the Leningrad Institute of improvement of professional skill of workers of art (1935-1936) А. А. Рылова.

he Lived in Leningrad. In 1934 he accepted Soviet citizenship. Made creative trips to the Volga and the Volga-Балтийскому channel (1963-1964), Karelia, Novgorod and Vologda regions, in Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Dagestan. A member of the Soviet-финской (1939-1940) and the great Patriotic war (1941-1943 (?)).

Golden horn" (1939), "St. Isaac's Cathedral" (1947), "Storm passed" (1949), "Steel finish" (1939), "Festive Leningrad" (1959), "Morning Neva industrial" (1960), "Spring" (1961), "the Baltic shipyard" (1966), "water space" (1967); series of works: "Landscapes of Leningrad" (1950), "Across Bulgaria" (1957), "the North Caucasus" (1962-1963), "From the Neva to the Volga" (1964-1965), "Dagestan" (1969-1970). Created a series of dioramas depicting the nature of Dagestan to Dagestan regional Museum in Makhachkala (1969-1970). Many worked in watercolor technique.

a member of the Union of artists of the USSR (from 1937). Exhibited: "Primorye in painting" in Vladivostok (1937); of works by Moscow and Leningrad artists in Moscow and Leningrad (1937); of works by Leningrad artists (1939, 1947, 1948, 1956, 1958, 1960, 1961, 1965) in Leningrad; "Young artists of the RSFSR" (1941), all-Union art exhibitions (1946, 1947, 1949, 1951), Soviet painting and graphic art (1949), the Republican art exhibition "Soviet Russia" (1960) in Moscow; 11-й Republican exhibition dedicated to the 25th-летию the red army of Lenin (1943) and others. Held a joint exhibition with Н. М. Кочергиным "Heroic Leningrad in the struggle" in Frunze (Kirghiz SSR, 1943).
