Son iconographer Theodore Evtihievicha teeth; brother engraver Alexei Zubov. Studied icons in the Armory. In the early 1700's began to study engraving (etching and burin), under the leadership of Shonebeka (Shhonebeka). He worked in the studio Engraving Armory Museum, participated in many collective works workshop. In October 1708, together with P. Pikart was transferred to the Moscow Printing House. After his discharge in 1728 he worked by the piece, doing the prints for sale (mostly on biblical stories). Served in the Manufacturing College, where the engraved stamps for stamped paper.
