Biographical details are scarce. In all probability, belonged to the merchant class. Studied at the Central Stroganov-промышленном school (1900-е); was friendly with Ф. Ф. Федоровским.

he Lived in Moscow. Until 1917 (according to other data, up to 1912) collaborated with the Moscow office of the firm К. Фаберже performed sketches of jewelry. Was engaged in easel and book graphics; was close to the Association "World of art". Worked for publishing houses И. Н. Кнебеля that "dawn". Performed making (intros, endings, drop caps) and illustrations for books: "Old cave", "the snow maiden. Snowman" (both — 1909), "How good Pavlik with Netochka", "the Arrival of winter. Trouble Cockerel" and "sled. Sanakadi" (all — 1910) Р. А. Кудашевой; "Lullaby" (1910-е); "Comic company" И. А. Любич-Кошурова (1911); "a Collection of children's folk songs, poems, rhymes and stuff" Е. Н. Опочинина (1913); the cover to the publication of "Ideas in masks" А. В. Луначарского (1912). Created landscapes with views of Moscow and its environs, ancient Russian cities, and genre scenes.

After the October revolution participated in the design of revolutionary festivals and sports parades on red square. Worked as an artist in Goskinoizdat.

5 января 1942 was arrested by the NKVD in the Moscow region on charges of counterrevolutionary activity. 7 марта 1942 дело was discontinued "for the death of the accused"; in 1995 реабилитирован.
