he Studied at the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture in Leningrad — on the picturesque faculty of the В. Н. Машкова, П. Д. Бучкина, И. И. Бродского. In 1944 he completed graduate work — picture of "deportation to slave labor", for which received a satisfactory rating and the title of the artist.

Lived in the village of Kholui, Ivanovo region. He worked as artistic Manager of the factory of lacquer miniatures; played a significant role in the development of the fishery. The founder and first Director of the Museum of art of Kholui. The author of the book "There is a village... (Essays on the art of Kholui village)" (Yaroslavl, 1973; together with В. В. Стариковым).

was Engaged in easel painting and graphics; painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes. A member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Exhibited at the IX regional art exhibition (1947), exhibition of works by the artists Vladimir, Gorky, Ivanovo, Kalinin, Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions, the Udmurt ASSR (1955) in Ivanovo.
