Worked as a cinema artist. He performed sketches of costumes and scenery for the film "the Emigrant" (1934) Studio Tajik-кино. From 1937 — artist film Studio "Uzbekfilm", from 1944 — chief artist of the Studio. Designed movies: "Scout Tagir" (1937), "the Garden" (1939). "An ordinary case" (1940), "Brave friends" (1941), "Nasreddin in Bukhara" (1943), "Uzbek film concert" (1943), "Takhir and Zukhra" (1945), "Nasreddin's Adventures" (1947), "Alisher Navoi" (1948), "buttermilk-ой" (1952), "Meet me at the stadium" (1955), "Fishermen of the Aral sea" (1958), "When roses bloom" (1960), "Hamza" (1961), "Five of the Fergana" (1963) and others. For the scenery for the film "Avicenna" (1957) received the diploma 1-й degree at the all-Union Soviet film festival in Moscow (1958).

In the early 1920-х participated in the design of Samarkand to the revolutionary holidays; in 1920-х was engaged in a political poster. Author paintings: "Old Samarkand" (1933), "self-Portrait" (1934), "Registan in Samarkand" (1937), "Teahouse" (1939), "Bibi-Ханым" (1943); graphic series (ink, watercolor, white) "Samarkand" (1927-1937). Illustrated books for publishers such as the Tajik SSR and Usbsr: "Slaves" (1934, 1952), "Old school" (1935) С. Айни "Zafar and Zahra" Aybek (1953), "the Uzbek folk tales" (1955; diploma of the Ministry of culture of the USSR all-Union exhibition of books, graphics and posters,1955). Drew for the satirical magazine "Mushtum" (1928-1963).

From 1918 — participant of exhibitions (Samarkand). He showed his works at exhibitions: paintings by artists of Uzbekistan to 20-й anniversary of the great October socialist revolution (1937), Republican art exhibitions (1940, 1952), jubilee exhibition of fine arts of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the 25th-летию of Usbsr, book graphics of Uzbekistan (both — 1950), artists of theatre and cinema (1961) in Tashkent, "Artists Usbsr, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakh SSR" in Moscow and Leningrad (1941), all-Union art exhibition (1961) in Moscow and others. Participated in a number of exhibitions of Soviet art abroad: in Vienna, Berlin, Danzig (1930), Johannesburg (1931), the USA (1933).

One of the organizers and lecturer of the Samarkand art school (1918-1921). Taught in-Studio training at the Union of artists of Usbsr (1938-1940).

For his activity was awarded the title people's artist of Usbsr (1944).

Work is represented in many Museum collections, including the State Tretyakov gallery, State Museum of art of peoples of the East, the Pushkin Museum im. А. С. Пушкина State Museum of them. И. В. Савицкого in Nukus, Karakalpak state Museum of arts of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and other.
