From the family of a military engineer. He studied at the Art school No. 1 in Moscow (1957) А. Шугрина, М. Хазанова, А. М. Глускина; Moscow higher art and-промышленном school (1962-1966, with a break), the Moscow correspondence pedagogical Institute (1967-1968) А. И. Лактионова on training courses of the Union of architects of the USSR (1967-1971) В. Г. Вейсберга. In 1963-1965 he was in military service.

Lives in Moscow. In the late 1960-х regularly traveled to the Crimea; worked EN plein air. In 1990-2000-х traveled extensively in Europe; visited Germany, England, Austria, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Spain, France. Author still lifes, landscapes, portraits, Nude studies.

From 1974 — participated in exhibitions. Member of the youth section of mossh, a picturesque section of the city of graphs (1978). Participated in youth exhibitions of mossh, Spring and Autumn exhibitions of the municipal Committee of graphic artists. His personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (1974 — day, 1991, 1997, 1999), gallery "Brauner&Popov" in Berlin (1990).

he Taught at the drawing club at the House of culture of Moscow state University. М. В. Ломоносова (1968-1978). Participated in the preparation of the retrospective exhibitions В. Г. Вейсберга in Moscow (1988, 1994).

Work is represented in several Museum collections, including the State Tretyakov gallery, the Art Museum Zimmerli in new-Джерси, Arkhangelsk Museum of fine arts, Volgograd Museum of fine arts. И. И. Машкова Vologda state historical-архитектурном and art Museum-заповеднике.
