the Son of a soldier of Artemia Anufrieva. Studied at garrison high school. In December 1748 he was transferred to the Academy of Sciences. From February 1749 engaged in Drawing room И. Э. Гриммеля since July 1753 — Engraving in the chamber of the И. А. Соколова, А. А. Грекова; in all likelihood, the advice Г. Ф. Шмидта.

Lived in St.-Петербурге. Was in the service in the Engraving chamber Academy of Sciences. In 1861 performed the first large independent work — "View of the Palace in Peterhof" in pattern М. И. Махаева (together with Н. Ф. Челнаковым) for the album "Views of the environs of St-Петербурга" (St. Petersburg, 1861). In 1760-80-е participated in all collective works of the Engraving chamber. In 1767 he received the title of journeyman. In 1798 he was dismissed into retirement, but continued to work on piece-rate basis. Completed vignettes to the publications: "History of Russia" Ф. А. Эмина (St. Petersburg, 1767), "the Full picture of the Ottoman Empire" И. М. d Ossona (1800) and others. In 1804 there were in the city almshouse.

the Works are in many Museum collections, among them — of the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum im. А. С. Пушкина and others.
