Painter, graphic artist, set designer

Studied in primary school and gymnasium in Solikamsk, then — at the Kazan art school. In 1925 he moved to Moscow. He attended the Central art courses AHRR (1925-1928).

Wrote of thematic paintings, landscapes, portraits.

Lived in and worked in the town of artists on the Upper Maslovka. During the great Patriotic war he was evacuated in Cheboksary.

From 1929 — participated in exhibitions. OMAHR and a member of the Russian Association of proletarian artists (1931-1932). A member and Exhibitor akhr (1929, 1931). Participated in exhibitions: "the Life of children of the Soviet Union" (1929), "the Art of the third, decisive year of the five-year plan" (1931), "Poster at the service of five" (1932), "Defence exhibition aviation society dedicated to the XV anniversary of the red army" (1933; the division of the exhibition "XV years of the red army"), Moscow artists (1935, 1937, 1939, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1957), Moscow artists in favor of the Fund of social assistance to children and women of heroic Spain (1936), All-Union art exhibitions (1947, 1955) in Moscow, "Artists of the RSFSR for XV years" in Leningrad (1932), "the Art of Soviet Russia" in Philadelphia (1934), "the Chuvash artists in the days of the great Patriotic war" in Cheboksary (1943) and others. Member of mosskh — SSH.

Work is represented in several Museum collections, including the State Tretyakov gallery, the State Russian Museum.
