From a peasant family. He studied at Moscow art College of memory 1905 года (1938-1939) Ф. И. Невежина, В. А. Орловой, the Moscow state art Institute. В. И. Сурикова (1941-1949, with a break) С. В. Герасимова, Н. Х. Максимова. In 1949 he completed graduation picture — "Letter to Stalin from the leaders of agriculture of the Kazakh SSR". The participant of the great Patriotic war (1941-1945). He continued his education at the graduate Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named after. И. Е. Репина in Leningrad (1949-1951) А. М. Герасимова.

He exposed his works at exhibitions of Moscow artists (1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1964, 1966, 1970), young artists of Moscow (1954), painting, sculpture, graphics, artists of theater and cinema of Moscow and Leningrad (1955), all-Union art exhibitions (1951, 1957-1958 — on the 40-летию the October revolution, 1965 — "On guard for peace", 1967 — "50 лет of the Soviet authority of the RSFSR), a "40 лет of the Soviet armed forces" (1958), the Republican art exhibition "Soviet Russia" (1960, 1965, 1967, 1970), Art exhibition "will be emitted, the land of the collective farm" (1964), an Art exhibition by 25-летию of the defeat of the-фашистских troops near Moscow (1966), "Artists of Moscow — 50-летию of October" (1967) in Moscow. Participant of the exhibition of Soviet artists in Beijing (1958).

Honored artist of the RSFSR (from 1968). One of the initiators in the village of Mikhaylovskoye, Altai Krai picture gallery (1975, together with Я. Н. Скрипковым; now — Mikhailovskaya community-досуговый center).

the Memorial had a personal exhibition in Moscow (1986).
