From 1884 to 1892 attended classes at IAH in St. Petersburg as volnoprihodyaschego student. In 1884 and 1887 awarded small silver medals in 1889 - a large silver medal. In 1892 he graduated from the course of science and was promoted neklassnogo (free), painter. In the same year submitted to the Council for IAH paintings awarded class artist of the 3rd degree.

worked as a landscape painter. Participated in academic exhibitions.
