Original art education was under the guidance of З. С. Шмелева in the town of Sapozhok, Ryazan province (1918-1919); worked in Leningrad at А. П. Эйснера (1925-1930).

he Lived in Leningrad, 1944 — Kiev, 1954 — Boyarka, outside Kiev. In 1926-1934 — artist film Studio "Sovkino" in Leningrad. Director (with-режиссер) and the artist of the cartoon: "Hold Chubarova!" (1927), "Two rickshaws" (1927), "pioneer Vanya" (1928, writer); propaganda films-плакатов "Soviet copeck" (1929), "On merchant — is now a brother in Christ" (1930), "Flyers" (1931); artist films "bringing down the House" Д. Толмачева (1928), "Symphony of peace" С. Тарасова and В. Сюмкина (1934). Participated in the creation of space-мультипликационного film "Kolkotta" (1930).

In 1920-е draw for the Leningrad Newspapers: "Leningradskaya Pravda", "Smena", "Movie-неделя". The hunters at rest" (1962), "Bad head to the feet does not rest" (1963), "Anna on the neck" (1965).

From 1948 — participated in exhibitions. A member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Exhibited: National art exhibitions (1948, 1951, 1960) in Kiev; Soviet satire (1952) in Moscow. His personal exhibitions were held in Kiev, Voronezh, Zhitomir (all — 1965).

Work is represented in many Museum collections, among them — boyar Museum.
